Closing with plastic caps that work

Good packaging is more than just a bottle. That’s why Flestic produces not only bottles and jars but also closures. From simple screw or snap closures to child-safe caps, to dosing plugs or hinging lids.

We have all the knowhow at our fingertips to develop and manufacture the closures, as well as – more importantly – fitting them optimally to the bottle or jar. This way we know for certain that they work as they should. Still prefer to have your cap or bottle made elsewhere? Then you’ll have just one contact point for bottle and cap. No pointing fingers between different suppliers, just a quick, efficient solution. Flestic will arrange it for you.

At home in all functions …

Of course plastic caps primarily ensure that bottles or jars close perfectly, for instance with a sealing cone. If you want to give customers the certainty that they are the first to open the packaging, then you can opt for a tamper-evident closure, made, for example, of aluminium foil and card or with a tear-off strip.

We can also make the plastic caps in such a way as to help the consumer with dosage. We then fit the plastic closures with an outflow opening which is customized for pouring a specific liquid or powder. This results in convenient dosing.

With bottles containing thick liquid products, such as sauces, it’s handy if they can stand on their heads, so that the liquid is always in contact with the cap, and the consumer can pour them out more conveniently. The bottle must therefore be stable on its cap and the bottom part of the bottle also needs to look good.

We produce plastic lids and other closures by injection moulding. This means that the closure is completely formed by a mould, and not – as in extrusion blow moulding – just on the outside. This is a very precise process, attaining a perfect fit between cap and bottle.

All our closures are made of plastic. We use different types of material, from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and polypropylene (PP) to acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polyamide 6.6 (PA6.6) and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN). Of course you can also opt for sustainable, biobased plastics. We are happy to advise you on materials.
